Help With Fees
At Chairbears, we aim to make childcare accessible and affordable for every family. We offer flexible sessions and accept a range of Government support, including funded hours, Tax-Free childcare, and support you with Universal Credit advice. Our team is here to guide you through the options and help you get the support you are entitled to.

Government Funded Childcare
Families are able to access funded childcare from the term after their child turns 9 months old right up until school. Working parents may receive up to 30 hours per week, while all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours, no matter your circumstances. Some families of 2 years olds may also qualify for funded hours if the receive certain benefits.
We know it can feel confusing, but we’re here to help guide you through the options. You can also check your eligibility directly on the Government website.

Tax Free Childcare
Tax-Free Childcare is a government scheme that helps families with the cost of childcare. For every £8.00 you pay in, the government adds and extra £2.00, up to £500.00 every three months. (Or £1,000.00 if your child has a disability) This money can be used towards nursery fees at Chairbears, helping to make childcare more affordable.
You can use Tax-Free Childcare alongside funded hours, and many working families are eligible. To find out more and apply, visit the government website.

Support from Universal Credit
If you receive Universal Credit, you may be able to claim back up to 85% of your childcare costs. This support can be used towards your child’s place at chairbears, making nursery more affordable for families on lower incomes.
Payments are made monthly, and you’ll need to provide evidence of your childcare costs when applying. (Note that UC often only reimburse you after you have paid
